Design Build

Galcon Marine has the knowledge and understanding to undertake design build projects in the marine industry. With our multi facet approach and experienced team we have the versatility to design, build and execute the most challenging of projects. Notably, in 2018 Galcon Marine was contracted by the City of Toronto to propose a method and execute the cleaning of three deep water cooling lines that are vital to the cities infrastructure. The challenges were the large diameter of the polly pipe, length of intake, depth of the intake structure, location of the facility and time of year to execute the project. With experience and expertise a pigging operation was ultimately proposed and executed to meet the needs of the client. This project was us custom design and build launchers, pumping systems, support structures, temporary roadways, and temporary working facilities. Results of the operation produced results better than original design flow values of the current system.
